Last Monday during our teacher only day our Diocese was fortunate to be visited by Fr Elio Capra. Elio is a Salesian priest who currently lectures in Liturgy and Sacramental Theology at the Catholic Theological College in Melbourne. He talked to St Mary's staff and staff from many other Catholic schools in the region about the importance of teaching at a special character Catholic school.
Mrs Tootil tries to boss Elio around, but it is no good, he is wise to the ways of our lovely lady teachers and makes her laugh in the end.

Student-Lead Conferences
Student-Lead Conferences
Thank you to all parents and caregivers who attended the student-lead conferences on Wednesday and Thursday last week. The conferences were a resounding success, with even the most nervous students able to calm their nerves and talk about their learning. Below is the class wallwisher or padlet where parents and caregivers left messages answering the questions - What have you learned about your child during the student lead conferences? and what were you most proud of?
I will post a selection of photos taken during the conference next week.Sunday, 8 June 2014

Inter-house Cross Country
St Mary's Cross Country - Redwoods
St Mary's School cross country went off exceedingly well as usual in the Redwoods. It was a wee bit nippy but the weather held out and we avoided the rain. Some splendid running, particularly by a number of room 6 boys who got high placings.
Enjoy the photos below.
